PROFILE


My name is Marcel Rothuizen, born in Arnhem on December 27, 1969. I'm married and have three children. After high school in 1988 I volunteered for the Dutch Royal Army for five years to work as a vehicle mechanic, and completed my certification. Meanwhile, I became increasingly interested in computers and programming. I learned myself OS/2, DOS, Windows and programming in Basic. Besides my job as a mechanic I worked regularly as a system administrator and I wrote some simple programs. As I got more knowledge and experience I was able work in the IT branch in 1995. At the end of 1996 I decided to work freelance as a technical consultant. In this period I learned more about Lotus Notes and soon I was very impressed with the possibilities of this product and I decided to specialize in Lotus Notes. This work is after all these years still a challenge, I try to extend my knowledge as much as possible, and like to share this with others. My free time I like to spend with my family, my Porsche 944, do jobs in and around the house and computer technology.
